This post is by Eric Duane R. Pantig. He and 2 other GYMN trainers went to Nepal to train leaders for ministry last November 9-12, 2008.

On our last night in Nepal we were invited by one of the deacons of the host church where the Youth Ministry Strategy Seminar was held. It was a blessed time of fellowship and the meal was satisfying. After dinner the topic of conversation was the bravery of the Nepalese warrior. The deacon who invited us over was a retired British army soldier. According to him the British saw the Nepalese people as brave and cunning warriors. The effect of this topic on me made me realize the importance of the training that Global Youth Ministry Network gave to the young people of Nepal.

Accordingly, I am humbled by the the fact that God allowed me to be a part of a team that has brought the first GYMN training to Nepal. Although the fact remains that our team would be considered as pioneers in Nepal what I would rather dwell on is the importance of GYMN’s purpose, and that is to train young people to do effective youth work and service in their ministry context. The youths who attended the seminar have received a call to arms not by the British but by the King of kings and the Lord of lords. They now go into battle accepting God’s command, bearing in their hearts the need to share the gospel of Christ to all and knowing that by the power of Christ Jesus they will conquer battles as they do the work of the ministry for God’s honor and glory.

The participants in Nepal were so thankful for what God had done for their equiping during the seminar. Furthermore, the young people who came were equally eager to head back to their local areas of ministry to use the new tools they have acquired in the training they went through.God has poured out a fresh his blessings on Nepal. We, the team, GYMN’s staff, you our partners, those who contineously interceeded for us, the whole GYMN family has been used by God to raise up an army in Nepal. A young force whose battle and victory belong to our almighty God. Let us continue to pray for our Nepalese brethren, that they would conquer their nation and cross borders for the expansion of God’s Kingdom until He comes again, Amen!

That’s awesome! Praise God for what you guys are able to do around the world.
Amen, Ptr Erick. Thanks a lot for being. I know that time was not an easy one for you. You have blest me in so many ways. May the time and training we had invested in the youth leaders of Nepal be converted into lives changed and multiplying..
Nepal people, you’re beautiful people and you have an awesome beautiful place…we shall return indeed!
